Plagiarism: Dictionary.com defines plagiarism as, “the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work.” In other words: don’t take someone else's words or ideas and claim them as your own! Plagiarism is not only against Conroe High School policy, it’s illegal! Anyone caught plagiarizing will be punished to the fullest allowable extent. Please note that this policy also applies to daily work! Offenders caught copying daily work, will receive both a zero for a grade and a discipline referral.
Tests: Each unit will be followed by a test to assess for understanding. Tests will normally be given on Fridays, with Tuesday as an alternate day. You will be notified prior to testing. Tests are to be taken seriously; anything that could be construed as cheating or attempting to cheat will result in a ZERO for ALL parties involved.
Make up Work: It is your responsibility to come to me to receive your missing assignments. Students will have one day for each day of absence. Please email the day of absence in order to keep up with all work.
Late Work Policy: Late work will only be accepted within one week of the due date for up to a 70. After that time, students may turn in the work for up to a 50. Abuse of this policy (more than 3) will terminate the policy. It is extremely important to build strong work habits and organizational skills for life. Please see me for assistance to help get back on track.
Class Rules: I have only three rules. They are not to be broken at any time!
- Be respectful
- Be prepared
- Be prompt
You are expected to be inside my classroom and in your chair when the bell rings. According to CISD policy a student that is more than 10 minutes late to class is counted absent.
