My name is Jaime Watson and this will be my 12th year teaching the Cosmetology Program at Conroe High School.  My roots run deep in Conroe.  I am a second generation Conroe High School graduate from the class of 1999.

Cosmetology accepts the following donations:
HE laundry detergent (prefer packets or liquid)
Clorox Bleach
Facial Tissues (Kleenex, Puffs, etc.)
VIVA papertowels or Blue Shop Towels
Hand Sanitizer
Disinfectant Wipes (any brand)
Colored printer paper
Glue (glue sticks or liquid)
Markers, colored pencils/pens, highlighters
Magazines (fashion, beauty, health, fitness, mens, etc.)
Dry Erase Markers
Ziplock bags of all sizes
and of course...CASH donations!!


Supplies Students Must Provide:

Purchase the required Cosmetology Kit
Composition Notebook
Pocket Folder with Brads
Pen
Small First Aid Kit (remove any medication)
Hand Sanitizer
1-gallon ziplock bags
2-gallon ziplock bags

 

Seniors must also bring a box of 1 gallon, a box of 2 gallon ziplock bags, and 3 small tupperware containers with lids in order to prepare for their licensing exam.

Student Expectations
Students MAY NOT use electronic devices during instructional time, such as classroom theory time or class discussion time.  

Students MAY use electronic devices in the classroom when permission is given to look up or research a topic pertaining to topic.

Students MAY NOT use electronic devices while working on a client.

Students MAY NOT use electronic devices to listen to music while working on the lab floor.
Students may turn in work late BUT 10 points will be deducted for everyday that it is late.

Students who have been absent have the same number of days to make up the work that they missed.  After that, the late work policy will go into effect.



Students are expected to:

Come to class everyday.
Have their kit supplies.
Speak and act like a professional. (Use proper grammar and terminology)
Work as a TEAM to keep the labs clean and organized.
Turn in their work on time.
Participate in all assignments.
Have a positive attitude.
Keep up with their Cosmetology Notebook.
Be willing to study.
Take their licensing exam BEFORE they graduate.
