Kara Gold, Journalism Teacher, M.S.

Welcome to my web page! I am extremely excited to be teaching at Conroe High this year! A little background about myself - I grew up in a small town just an hour south of Houston, called El Campo. I played tennis and was involved in many different clubs and organizations.

I then went to Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) and earned a bachelor's in Agricultural Communications and Journalism. Two years later I earned a master's in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University and began teaching in Palestine, TX in 2012. After teaching in East Texas for two years I decided to move back a little bit closer to home and found my place here at CHS.

I teach Journalism I, Yearbook (The Flare), and Newspaper (The Triumph) and I am also the UIL journalism coach this year.

Please visit this page often as I will try to keep you informed of the activities in the class and also advise you of events and other information.

The Class links at left will help you navigate through the various pages in my website and the other links are important school and district pages.
